Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

© 2017 American Physical Society. We search for the rare flavor-changing neutral current process B+→K+τ+τ- using data from the BABAR experiment. The data sample, collected at the center-of-mass energy of the (4S) resonance, corresponds to a total integrated luminosity of 424 fb-1 and to 471×106 BB pairs. We reconstruct one B meson, produced in the (4S)→B+B- decay, in one of many hadronic decay modes and search for activity compatible with a B+→K+τ+τ- decay in the rest of the event. Each τ lepton is required to decay leptonically into an electron or muon and neutrinos. Comparing the expected number of background events with the data sample after applying the selection criteria, we do not find evidence for a signal. The resulting upper limit, at the 90% confidence level, is B(B+→K+τ+τ-) < 2.25×10-3.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
