Abstract
A publicacao que ora apresentamos e fruto do encontro para elaboracao do Sistema de Producao de Gado de Corte, para a regiao Sul do Estado do Piaui, realizado na cidade de Floriano-Piaui, no periodo de 23 a 27 de maio de 1977. O evento contou com a presenca de pesquisadores, extensionistas e produtores, cuja troca de conhecimentos e experiencias ensejou o alcance dos objetivos pretendidos. Desta forma, com a compreensao e dedicacao dos participantes, foram elaborados tres Sistemas de Producao de Gado de Corte, destinados a diferentes niveis de produtores e em estreita consonancia com a realidade regional. A area de abrangencia dos Sistemas de Producao em apreco, compreende as Micro-Regioes-Homogeneas de Floriano, Alto Parnaiba Piauiense, Medio Gurgueia, Altos Piaui e Caninde e Chapadas do Extremo Sul Piauiense.
