Abstract
Ce mémoire est dédié à l’étude des documents iconographiques en classe de CM1. Des études réalisées au Québec en 2014 ont démontré la difficulté des élèves du secondaire à analyser des documents iconographiques en Histoire. Suite à ce constat, je me suis interrogée sur l’utilisation des documents iconographiques à l’école primaire. Dans ce travail j’ai cherché à définir les apports de la documentation iconographique en Histoire mais aussi dans l’enseignement de l’Histoire. Une première partie de ce mémoire est consacrée à définir la documentation iconographique et ses apports. En deuxième partie, je propose de présenter une séquence pédagogique ciblant le travail sur la documentation iconographique en classe de CM1. Ma troisième partie est dédiée à une analyse des résultats obtenus auprès de mes élèves.
