TÃtulos de deuda pública externa y su impacto en el tipo de cambio paralelo no oficial: caso venezolano, periodo (2006-2009)

Abstract
La economÃa venezolana se ve afectada significativamente por las distorsiones que se producen entre el tipo de cambio oficial y el tipo de cambio del mercado paralelo. En este trabajo de investigación, se emplea la técnica Event Study para evaluar las variaciones anormales en el tipo de cambio del mercado paralelo no oficial en torno a la fecha en que se produce el anuncio de los resultados de adjudicación de siete tÃtulos de deuda externa, como mecanismo permuta, emitidos durante el periodo (2006-2009). Los resultados demuestran, de acuerdo al test de Corrado (1989), que existe suficiente evidencia para considerar la presencia de diferencias significativas, con un nivel de confianza del 95%. Se concluye que en el tipo de cambio del mercado paralelo no oficial se aprecia la moneda local respecto al dólar, sólo cuando a los inversionistas les resultan atractivos estos instrumentos como mecanismo permuta.
