Abstract
En un interesante artículo, titulado "Choosing June: Did France's Second Republic Intentionally Spark a Class War?", Lindsay Ayling afirma que los dirigentes de la Segunda República Francesa provocaron deliberadamente las sangrientas jornadas de junio de 1848. Defiende esta tesis de forma clara y amena, apoyándola además en un consistente corpus bibliográfico. Sin embargo, hay tres frases a lo largo del texto que, a mi juicio, resultan poco precisas, y que pueden llevar a confusión al lector. Espero que el comentario que sigue de las mismas no sea visto como la apostilla de un puntilloso, sino como una contribución al debate sobre una época y unos acontecimientos apasionantes.
