Abstract
Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli esitellä Suomen rakennusten paloturvallisuutta erilaisten asuin- ja liikerakennuksia koskevien määräyksien ja uusimpien paloasetusten mukaan. Opinnäytetyössä esiteltiin myös rakennusten erilaisia paloturvallisuustuotteita sekä kodille palovaaraa aiheuttavia tuotteita, laitteita ja koneita. \n \nUusien paloasetusten vuoksi työssä käsitellään ensin tarkemmin rakennuksia koskevia määräyksiä ja asetuksia. Toisena asiana selvitettiin eri paloturvatuotteiden toimintaa ja tarpeellisuutta uudis- ja korjausrakentamisessa. Lopuksi käytiin läpi tilojen palovaaraa aiheuttavia asioita. \n \nSelvitettyjen tietojen mukaan uudis- ja korjausrakentamisessa asennetaan yleensä vain ainoastaan ne paloturvatuotteet, jotka ovat pakollisia asetusten, lakien ja määräysten näkökulmasta. \n \nSuomessa olevat asetukset ja lait eivät takaa rakennukselle tarpeeksi suojaa tulipaloa vastaan. Ehdotuksena rakennusten paloturvallisuuden takaamiselle on paloturvatuotteiden lisääminen rakennuksiin, vaikka asetukset eivät niitä määräisikään. Jatkotoimenpiteinä rakennuksilla voisi enemmän valvoa ja tarkastaa paloturvallisuustuotteiden asentamista ja niiden sopivuutta kohteisiin. Sekä tehdä enemmän tarkastuksia ja parannuksia säännöllisesti jo olemassa oleviin rakennuksiin.
