Abstract
A T I O NLe CIRST entre dans un nouveau cycle de programmation triennale.Le programme de recherche 1997-2000 se situe dans le foulée des travaux des dernières années, mais en mettant l'accent sur des thèmes particuliers.Les textes de ce Bulletin en décrivent quelques uns.Le premier texte, sur la promotion de la recherche universitaire, renvoie à deux thèmes: les institutions d'enseignement supérieur et la culture scientifique.Le second, sur les innovations médicales et le cancer du sein, rejoint le thème des connaissances médicales, alors que le troisième est issu des recherches sur la formation.Ces recherches contribueront certainement à l'avancement des connaissances dans les études sociales en science et technologie.Par ailleurs, ces thèmes ont tous une grande pertinence sociale, politique et économique.Le choix de ces programmes de recherche n'est pas étranger aux débats que nous animent sur l'orientation de la recherche universitaire, les coûts du système de santé et les politiques de formation de la main-d'oeuvre.
