Abstract
In 1803-1804, in order to create the national vine collection at the Luxembourg nursery in Paris, the prefects were asked to gather information on the vines cultivated in their departments and to prepare the shipment of cuttings. This dossier focuses on the Drôme department. The transmission of information and vine cuttings took place at the end of 1803 and the beginning of 1804, and a request for additional cuttings was reiterated at the end of 1806 to replace missing plants in the collection. The archived documents contain 811 items (occurrences of names), which contribute to the CepDoc series (Transcriptions of unpublished archival records related to the names given to cultivated vines) within the CepHistoire collection (History of France’s grape varieties), which is currently being compiled and presented in Appendix.
