Abstract
Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to provide additional funds for final completion of an athletic plant in the city of Medford by the metropolitan district commission, and to facilitate immediate construction thereof, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.Be it enacted, etc., as follows:SECTION 1. Section 1 of chapter 549 of the acts of 1962 is hereby amended by striking out, in line 4, the words "five hundred" and inserting in place thereof the words: -six hundred and twenty-five.SECTION 2. For the purposes set forth in section one of chapter five hundred and forty-nine of the acts of nineteen hundred and sixty-two, as amended by section one of this act, the additional sum of one hundred and twenty-five thousand dollars is hereby transferred from funds made available by chapter seven hundred and four of the acts of nineteen hundred and sixty-two.
