Abstract
Ce mémoire de recherche-création s'appuie sur les principes de la soma-esthétique pour établir les contours d'une nouvelle définition située des interfaces en art numérique. Plus précisément, il porte sur la conception de l'interface pensée non pas comme une forme de contrôle, mais de rencontre. La recherche a émergé de la pratique par la création de deux œuvres, ON/CONTACT et EN/GLOBE, qui ont fait l'objet de deux résidences de recherche-création, dont la première a été présentée à Ars Electronica en 2023. Ces deux installations interactives présentent l’interface comme une œuvre d’art dans la mesure où chaque participant peut à la fois interagir avec l’œuvre et utiliser l’objet comme une manière de communiquer et de s'exprimer. La contribution de ce mémoire comprend un modèle d'analyse adaptée aux interfaces-œuvres basées sur la rencontre et la soma-esthétique, ainsi qu'une méthode de recherche-création qui a émergé de la recherche. Cette méthode a été mise en œuvre lors d'une activité de création qui a établi la notion d'interface par l'incorporation d’un espace de médiation et d’interaction via l'organisation d'un atelier de conception.
