Abstract
Với cách nuôi truyền thống, nước trong ao nuôi cá Sặc rằn thâm canh cần được thay mới bằng cách thải trực tiếp ra hệ thống kênh rạch dẫn đến sự suy thoái của hệ sinh thái thủy vực. Nhằm tận dụng lượng dinh dưỡng thừa, làm sạch nước ao nuôi cá và sử dụng nguồn nước mặt hiệu quả hơn, các bè nổi thả bèo Tai tượng (Pistia stratiotes L.) với 4 mức độ che phủ 0, 25, 50 và 75% diện tích bề mặt ao được sử dụng và đánh giá. Nồng độ NH4-N thấp ở tất cả các nghiệm thức, trong khi TP có nồng độ cao ở tỷ lệ che phủ thấp 0 và 25%. Tỷ lệ che phủ không ảnh hưởng đến sự tăng trưởng của cá, ngoại trừ hiệu quả thức ăn của tỷ lệ che phủ 25% là nhỏ nhất. Trong suốt 60 ngày nghiên cứu, không cần thay nước cho cá, nhưng chất lượng nước vẫn được duy trì trong phạm vi cho phép cho cá tăng trưởng bình thường. Qua đó, tăng hiệu quả sử dụng nước và tận dụng dinh dưỡng, góp phần bảo vệ môi trường và quản lý bền vững tài nguyên nước.
