Abstract
Tante Lucille a oeuvré dans le domaine de la littérature de jeunesse en tant qu'auteure, et surtout conteuse, pendant plus de 40 ans. Cette pionnière a évolué dans quatre secteurs d'activités culturelles : les publications (1944-1985), les émissions radiophoniques (1948-1974), les productions discographiques (1947-1977) et les manifestations culturelles (1968-1987). Ses publications s'étalent sur trois périodes : de 1944 à 1949 chez Granger & Frères, à Montréa l; de 1954 à 1965 chez l'éditeur hollandais Mulder & Zoon ; et de 1968 à 1985 chez des éditeurs québécois. Tante Lucille a surtout remanié plus de 800 contes et légendes traditionnels et classiques qu'elle a diffusés en plusieurs langues, à grand tirage, au Canada et à l'étranger. Sa popularité témoigne, dans une perspective culturelle et sociale, de son importante participation dans la transmission de la culture populaire de masse.
