Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Ireland has ambitious plans to reduce the level of greenhouse gases emitted from\nelectricity generation by increasing the amount of power that is generated from\nrenewable technologies. Doing so will require a significant expansion of wind\nfarms, and an accompanying expansion of the electricity transmission network\n(the “grid”). Previous analyses that we have conducted have shown that Irish\nresidents are generally favourably disposed towards further development of\nrenewable generation technologies; however, in practice, planners and policy\nmakers are frequently met with objections from local communities to specific\nsiting proposals. Community resistance to electricity infrastructure development\ncan result in unhappy residents, frustrated planners, and project delays. In this\nresearch we consider a range of procedures that could be adopted in order to\ninvolve local communities in these projects. Such procedures may potentially\nreduce resistance amongst local communities.

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
