Abstract
Introducción: La epicondilitis es una patología muy común caracterizada por dolor agudo en la cara lateral del codo provocando impotencia funcional. En ocasiones esta patología no mejora con el tratamiento y una de las razones por las que el dolor no remite es un error en el diagnóstico al no tener en cuenta el componente neural. El síndrome de la Arcada de Frohse comparte clínica con la epicondilitis y debe ser abordado de forma diferente, teniendo en cuenta la interfaz y el nervio. Objetivo: Aplicar un diagnóstico diferencial y tratamiento fisioterápico entre dos sujetos con síntomas compatibles con arcada de frohse y epicondilitis. Metodología: Se diseñó un estudio de dos casos clínicos realizando una evaluación antes y después de aplicar cada tratamiento, registrándose las siguientes variables: dolor (EVA), ROM, movimientos traslatorios, balance muscular, sensacion terminal, sensibilidad superficial, sensibilidad profunda, reflejos, mecanosensibilidad, dolor neuropatico (DN4 y McGill). Resultados: En la evaluación tras el tratamiento se registró una disminución del dolor, de la mecanosensibilidad y del dolor neuropático. Así mismo se registró un aumento del ROM y de la capacidad funcional. Conclusiones: Tras la adecuada diferenciación de las dos patologías y el tratamiento fisioterápico procedente en cada una de ellas, se registraron cambios clínicamente significativos en las variables analizadas.
