Abstract
El objetivo de la investigación fue determinar la diferencia significativa de deterioro cognitivo por el consumo de sustancias psicoactivas en usuarios ambulatorios de instituciones que atienden problemas de adicciones en la ciudad de Cajamarca, según sexo, 2022. Se tuvo una muestra de 50 usuarios. Utilizándose un enfoque cuantitativo, diseño no experimental y alcance descriptivo, además aplicando el Test de Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) y una ficha sociodemográfica creada por los tesistas. En los resultados se encontró que la diferencia significativa de deterioro cognitivo según el sexo (p = .145), dando a entender que no existe diferencia de deterioro cognitivo según sexo. Asimismo, se encontró un 50% de evaluados tienen una presencia leve de deterioro cognitivo. Además, se evidenció un 70% (hombres) y un 28% (mujeres) presentan deterioro cognitivo. Finalmente, la etapa de la vida donde se aprecia mayor inicio de consumo de sustancia y mayor deterioro cognitivo, es la adolescencia. Se concluye que no existe diferencia de deterioro cognitivo presentado en hombres y mujeres por consumo de sustancias psicoactivas, pero, se evidenció mayor prevalencia de deterioro cognitivo en hombres que en mujeres, cuanto más precoz sea el inicio de consumo de sustancias, mayor será el deterioro cognitivo en el futuro.
