El treball vol analitzar alguns aspectes de la dansa contemporània a Catalunya des d’una perspectiva de gènere: en primer lloc, l’efecte que té la mirada masculina en la dansa i quines són les conseqüències que comporten les exigències estètiques dominants sobre el cos de la dona; en segon lloc, quin és el lloc de la dona en el món de la dansa a Catalunya i identificar per qui estan ocupats els espais de poder; en tercer lloc, com s’ha historiografiat la dansa contemporània a Catalunya, ja que no s’ha fet mai des d’una perspectiva de gènere, i en quart lloc, casos d’artistes que han treballat la dansa des d’una perspectiva de gènere a Catalunya
