Click here for the English version of this report_x000D_ Le ministère du Travail doit réaliser tous les cinq ans une étude sur l'évolution des conditions de travail au Québec. À cette fin, il a mandaté, en 2007, l’Institut de recherche Robert-Sauvé en santé et en sécurité du travail (IRSST), l’Institut national de santé publique du Québec (INSPQ), l’Institut de la statistique du Québec (ISQ), le ministère du Travail, le ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux et la Commission des normes du travail (CNT) d’effectuer l’Enquête québécoise sur des conditions de travail, d’emploi, et de santé et de sécurité du travail (EQCOTESST). Le rapport brosse un portrait des conditions de travail et d’emploi au Québec, incluant l’environnement organisationnel et les contraintes physiques à l’emploi, ainsi que la conciliation travail et vie personnelle. Il aborde plus spécifiquement les aspects de la santé et de la sécurité du travail (SST) en traitant particulièrement des troubles musculo-squelettiques, des accidents traumatiques, de la santé psychologique au travail et de la perception des travailleurs de leur santé en général. Plus de 5 000 travailleurs du Québec ont participé à cette enquête populationnelle dont la cueillette de données a été effectuée entre novembre 2007 et février 2008._x000D_ Abstract_x000D_ Québec’s Minister of Labour is responsible for conducting a study of changes in working conditions in Québec every five years. In 2007, it therefore mandated the Institut de recherche Robert-Sauvé en santé et en sécurité du travail (IRSST), the Institut national de santé publique du Québec (INSPQ), the Institut de la statistique du Québec (ISQ), the ministère du Travail, the ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux and the Commission des normes du travail (CNT) to undertake the Québec Survey on Working, Employment and OHS Conditions (EQCOTESST). The survey report paints a picture of working and OHS conditions in Québec, including the organizational environment, physical work demands and work-life balance. It focuses on aspects of occupational health and safety (OHS) by looking specifically at work-related musculoskeletal disorders, traumatic work accidents, mental health in the workplace, and workers’ perceptions of their general health. Over 5,000 Québec workers participated in this population survey, for which data were collected between November 2007 and February 2008.
