Abstract
Schule und Gesundheit werden seit 1992 in ein europaweites Netzwerk gesundheitsfördernder Schulen (ENGS) eingebettet mit dem Ziel, allen Schülern ein höheres Maß an Selbstbestimmung zu ermöglichen und sie zur Stärkung ihrer Gesundheit zu befähigen (Ottawa-Charta 1986). Von den Schulen entwickelte diesbezügliche Projekte werden besonders gefördert. Ein solches Prokjekt beinhaltet in der Regel Datenanalyse, Intervention und Evaluation. Zur Datenanalyse werden in dieser Arbeit Schweizerische Erhebungen über das Ernährungsverhalten von jungen Erwachsenen, den Vorbildern unserer Jugendlichen, sowie von Jugendlichen in St. Galler Schulen vorgestellt. Zwei Interventionsprojekte, der Pausenkiosk in der Innerschweiz und das Projekt Energiemanagement in St. Gallen, werden als Mittel zur Gesundheitsförderung beschrieben, insbesondere wie sich gesunde Ernährung und Bewegungserziehung in den Unterricht integrieren lassen. Beide Projekte haben sich bewährt und werden bereits anderweitig eingesetzt. Sie zeigen, wie Ernährungsprogramme in Schulen erfolgreiche Mittel zur Gesundheitsförderung darstellen.
