Abstract
This black and white photograph features the badlands and the Red Deer River in Alberta, Canada. The river bends on its route in the background while outcroppings surround the left side of its banks. A flat area with trees, grasses, and dirt spots is on the right side of the river. A brown arrow in the center of the photo points to the camp across the river where the Sternberg party stayed during their time here in 1914. Three separate white arrows in the left center point to where the men in the Sternberg party were working on excavating fossils. Handwriting is below the photograph.
