Abstract
It was the start of a new era on July 1, 1974, when the University of Regina was created. The origins of the U of R can be traced back to Regina College, which was established in 1911. It later became part of the University of Saskatchewan, and was later known as the Regina Campus of the University of Saskatchewan.
