"La Nuda Umanità 2 - The Uncovered History 2 by Italian artist Gabriele Di Matteo, is a new and topical exhibition and publication launch that is critical, humorous and emotional at the same time. With his first exhibition in Canada, Di Matteo challenges ideas of heroism and progress, and explores the power of icons, images and mass media in their portrayal of history. The idea for this series of paintings came to him when he was leafing through an illustrated history book for young Italian pupils.
