Abstract
En este trabajo se realiza una investigación sobre la diferencia de género y su influencia en la elección de los individuos de carreras universitarias ligadas a la ciencia y a la tecnología, a lo largo de la historia y en la actualidad. Se muestra que las mujeres han tenido muchas dificultades a lo largo de la historia para acceder a estudios universitarios de cualquier índole y en particular para desarrollar su labor profesional en el ámbito de la ciencia y la tecnología. Con la mayor integración en la actualidad de la mujer en el ámbito laboral parece que estas diferencias han disminuido, aunque la presencia de la mujer en las categorías académicas y científicas de responsabilidad parece ser escasa.
