Un estudi d'abast europeu analitza les prioritats de les noves generacions en matèria de desenvolupament sostenible de les ciutats. És l'estudi titulat "Green Capital of Tomorrow - The Next Generation's Perspective" i dirigit pel professor Dr. Werner Beba de la Universitat d'Hamburg de Ciències Aplicades (HAW-Hamburg). El resultat ha estat un memoràndum de deu punts amb les idees més importants a tenir en compte de cara al futur de les grans ciutats. Els representants de l'estat espanyol han estat dos estudiants de la UAB, Quim Muntané i Lídia Vendrell.
