Abstract
In the article the medium-variance analysis of six developed countries: USA, Canada, UK, Germany, France and Japan. By combining the various branches of the U.S., Canada and the United Kingdom could significantly reduce their risks, and their average income would be reduced not by diversifying into the retail sector. These results confirm the empirical results of earlier studies conducted by Reichert, Ox, and Liang (2008). However, the authors found no similar configurations for Germany, Japan and France. In addition, forming a global portfolio with the most profitable industries in different countries, this study provides evidence of good cross-border integration of banking and commercial sectors.
