Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Indias government says it plans to phase out imports of a dirty fuel known as petroleum coke, or petcoke, after an Associated Press investigation found U.S. oil refineries are exporting vast quantities of the product to India. The effort to phase out a dirty fuel known as petroleum coke, or petcoke, is underway in India. It comes after an Associated Press investigation which found U.S. oil refineries are exporting a lot of petcoke to India.About 20 times more petcoke was sold to India last year than in the previous six years after refineries struggled to sell it at home. That adds up to about eight million metric tons of the polluted fuel, enough to fill the Empire State Building eight times over.Petcoke is a bottom-of-the-barrel leftover from the refining of Canadian tar sands crude and other heavy oils. Its cheaper and burns hotter than coal. But lab tests on imported petcoke used near New Delhi found it contained 17 times more sulfur than the limit set for coal.A day after the AP investigation was published, India's Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister said the government was working on a policy to end imports.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
