Abstract
Résumé : Cet article examine les paradigmes de la construction identitaire dans la littérature francophone. Il met l'accent sur la littérature québécoise, en explorant des œuvres d'Afrique et des Caraïbes. Il soulève des questions fondamentales concernant la construction de l'identité individuelle et collective, ainsi que les critères d'appartenance et d'exclusion. La réflexion est modulée en deux parties : la première se concentre sur l'identité en termes d'appartenance, tandis que la seconde aborde la relation du moi à l'Autre. Ainsi, dans la littérature québécoise traditionnelle l’identité se définit au travers de trois paradigmes : la terre, la religion et la langue. La deuxième partie explore une construction identitaire quelque peu opposée à la première. L’identité ne se conçoit que dans la relation constante avec l’Autre. Ainsi, la cohabitation d'espaces variés, l'hybridité et la multiculturalité qui caractérisent les fictions francophones postcoloniales seraient les nouveaux paradigmes de la construction identitaire francophone.
