La violation des droits humains dans de nombreux domaines préoccupent les experts, en particulier les violations des droits humains dans le domaine de l’extraction des mines. De nombreuses entreprises extractives exploitent des mines à travers le monde; cependant nous voudrions nous appesantir sur la violation des droits humains dans l’exploitation des mines en Afrique notamment dans quatre pays à savoir la Côte d’Ivoire, Madagascar, le Mali et le Burkina Faso par les entreprises canadiennes. Cette étude soulève de nombreuses interrogations notamment celles de l’amélioration des conditions de vie des populations dans les pays africains aux sous-sols scandaleusement riches. Cela questionne aussi la responsabilité des États africains, canadiens et des entreprises minières canadiennes. Des questions auxquelles nous tenterons de répondre tout au long de notre développement. Mais déjà, nous pouvons noter qu’il y a de nombreuses violations de droits humains relativement aux mines d’extraction non seulement sur le plan international comme national ; on voit des efforts positifs des États étudiés ainsi que d’autres États comme le Canada mais il reste beaucoup à faire encore.
