Abstract
İslam Sanatları Tarihi alanında yapılan araştırmalarda, süsleme önemli bir yer tutar. Eserlerde, yapıldığı dönemin kültürel yapısına ait ipuçları bulmak mümkündür. İslam sanat tarihinde dini yapılar, hem mimarileri hem de süslemeleriyle, birincil kaynak olmaları bakımından önemlidir. Yaptığımız araştırmalarda Giresun’un tarihi yapılarında bulunan süsleme unsurlarının müstakil bir çalışma olarak ele alınmadığı görülmüştür. Giresun ilimizde de çok sayıda tarihi cami mevcuttur. Araştırma, bahse konu camilerin kültürel miras olarak tanınırlığını artırma amacıyla yapılmıştır. Bu çalışmada Giresun Kale, Kapu ve Hacı Mittat camilerinde bulunan süsleme unsurları fotoğrafları çekilmek suretiyle incelenmiştir. Elde edilen veriler, il ve yöre ile karşılaştırmalı olarak ortaya konmuştur. Giresun camilerindeki tezyinat, yapıldıkları dönem özelliklerini yansıtmaktadır. Bu çalışma ile sanat eserlerine karşı olan duyarlılığın artırılmasına katkıda bulunulacağı düşünülmektedir.
