Abstract
El Ministerio de Defensa pone a disposición del usuario las reproducciones digitales de los fondos que se custodian en sus archivos, bibliotecas y museos. Esta colección se compone de una variada tipología documental como son códices, impresos, grabados, videograbaciones, fotografías, etc., importantes series documentales y museísticas, de gran antigüedad, belleza e interés temático, cuyo conocimiento es indispensable para la cultura española. Además, esta biblioteca virtual da acceso al repositorio institucional que recoge las publicaciones oficiales y científicas de este ministerio. La Biblioteca Virtual de Defensa recoge, conserva y difunde obras literarias, científicas o artísticas depositadas en las instituciones culturales del Ministerio así como la divulgación de la producción científica y tecnológica elaborada por los militares a lo largo de su historia. En la BVD se podrá consultar obras: - De autores militares o vinculados al Ministerio de Defensa - Con temática o contenido relacionados con la Defensa y ciencias afines - Publicadas por la Armada, los Ejércitos de Tierra y Aire y por el Ministerio de Defensa - Fondo patrimonial histórico cultural depositado en las bibliotecas, Archivos y Museos del Ministerio de Defensa
