Abstract
Née en Hollande, où elle a acquis une solide formation dans les disciplines du cirque, de la danse et de la musique, Nicolette a tourné avec plusieurs compagnies de cirque en Europe, elle a fait partie du Cirque du Soleil et du Cirque du Tonnerre, et a joué dans la comédie musicale Barnum. Depuis 1992, elle travaille avec Rodrigue Tremblay dans le duo clownesque Chocolat et Nicoletta. Lui, c’est le Clown farceur, vif, petit et iconoclaste. Elle, c’est la Muse, la grâce en action, grande, talentueuse et féminine. La connivence qui anime leurs personnages les incite bientôt à fonder les Productions Éclats de Rire et le Cirque Akya dont Nicolette assure la direction générale. Aujourd’hui Nicolette enseigne à l’École Nationale de Cirque de Montréal et l’École de Cirque de Québec, en plus d’être femme d’affaires et comédienne, et de jouer son personnage de Nicoletta, violoncelliste et flûtiste, fildefériste et jongleuse.
