Abstract
Il saggio ripercorre la formazione e la genesi della poesia italo-canadese. Atttraverso le voci di Pivato, Perticarini, Caccia, Amprimoz, di Cicco, Mazza, di Michele viene affrontato il problema dell’impatto con il nuovo Mondo, l’esperienza dell’emigrazione, l’integrazione e la nascita del senso di appartenenza e dell’identità all’interno del mosaico canadese. The essay focuses on the paradigm of Italian-Canadian poetry, from the very beginning to contemporaneity. In their own poems, Pivato, Perticarini, Caccia, Amprimoz, di Cicco, Mazza, di Michele face some main issues such as the New World, immigration and integration, which result in the birth of a sense of belonging and identity inside the Canadian mosaic.
