Abstract
Allah -ta`ala- menjelaskan sebab kekalahan muslimin di perang Uhud dalam ayatNya, “Itu dari (kesalahan) dirimu sendiri” (Ali Imran: 165). Kekuatan ilmu, ekonomi, politik, pendukung (anggota) itu penting. Nabi Sulaiman -’alaihi al salam memilih pemilik ilmu guna menopang kekuasaannya. Rasulullah -shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam- mengingatkan Sa’ad bin Abi Waqqash agar meninggalkan harta cukup bagi anaknya. Usman bin Affan menyatakan bahwa kekuasaan itu penting karena bisa mencegah keburukan. Rasulullah membanggakan umatnya yang banyak kuantitas dan kualitasnya.
