En este libro se incluye una colección de fotografías en blanco y negro de las ciudades de Nueva York y de Boston tomadas por el autor en abril de 1990. También se incluyen la transcripción revisada de las páginas del diario del autor escritas en aquel viaje, tanto en el idioma original del manuscrito (catalán) como en una versión al inglés hecha por el autor y por Lorraine Mealing. Ambos trabajos deben considerarse relacionados con los estudios iniciados por el autor en aquella ocasión sobre la relación entre el paisaje urbano de Manhattan y la obra escrita de Federico García Lorca.
