Esta entrevista con Christian Laval aborda cuestiones fundamentales de sus trabajos dedicados a la educación, y permite reconstruir el despliegue del compromiso político que ha guiado todo su recorrido profesional. El intercambio se centra en el paradigma educativo neoliberal, y su importancia como modelo teórico para una lectura comprensiva y crítica de las transformaciones actuales de la escuela. Se trata, al mismo tiempo, de una reflexión sobre las condiciones de posibilidad de un cambio de paradigma, hacia una educación verdaderamente democrática, que pueda problematizar y cuestionar el orden social capitalista. El papel del Estado y de los servicios públicos, los legados progresistas, la acción colectiva y las luchas escolares y universitarias son, por lo tanto, cuestionados y replanteados
