Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

In this research paper, I will discuss my experience of immigration from Iran to Canada in early teenage years, and how this displacement has affected my way of approaching concepts regarding dreams, reality, and memory. I will examine different aspects of Virtual Reality and how using this technology can help us to blur the line between reality and dreams. In my past projects, I have used VR content to re-imagine my reoccurring dreams and memories that are rooted in my immigrant background, and for this thesis project I am going to step further into investigating this medium as a dream device. I would like to ask questions such as: what is the difference between a memory that is lived, and one that is only imagined or dreamt of? How does symbolism and metaphors play a role in the interpretation of our dreams and the subconscious mind? Is reality limited to physicality of the body or is it also accessible through imagination? I aim to use my experience of immigration as the axis of these questions in my research paper.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
