Le N,N’-Di(S-phenylethyl)-2-amino-4-imino-pent-2-ène, S,S-nacnacCH(Me)PhH, \n2.1a, le N,N’-dibenzyl-2-amino-4-imino-pent-2-ène, nacnacBnH, 2.1b, et le N,N’- \ndibenzyl-2-amino-4-iminopent-2-chloro-ène, Cl-nacnacBnH, réagissent avec le \nZn[N(SiMe3)2]2 pour former les complexes nacnacZnN(SiMe3)2 correspondants. En \nréaction avec l’isopropanol, ils forment les nacnacZnOiPr, 2.7a, 2.7b et 3.3. Tous ces \ncomplexes sont actifs en polymérisation du rac-lactide par une réaction de premier \nordre en lactide. Les polymères obtenus montrent une préférence hétérotactique, avec \nune valeur de Pr = 0.84 – 0.87 (2.7a), 0.65 – 0.71 (2.7b) et 0,59 – 0,65 (3.3). Le \nchangement du groupement N-alkyles de chiral vers achiral a permis de descendre la \nvaleur de Pr. Cette baisse a été encore plus prononcée en présence d’un groupement \nélectronattracteur à l’arrière du ligand. \nUn complexe analogue a été synthétisé en changeant la nature du centre \nmétallique pour du Mg, ce qui a augmenté grandement la vitesse de réaction de \npolymérisation (de 1.5 h à 0.5 h pour 98 % de conv.). Le polylactide résultant (PLA) \nest atactique à température ambiante mais a montré une préférence isotactique à \nbasses températures.
