Con este proyecto, se pretende rediseñar el tramo superior de la escala ya existente en el salto de San Fernando (Santibáñez de Béjar), con el fin de mejorar sus características hidráulicas y disminuir su pendiente para así aumentar la permeabilidad del obstáculo del salto facilitando el ascenso a los peces migradores del entorno favoreciendo la reproducción y la distribución de estos a lo largo del ecosistema del río.
