Abstract
"Se describe el desarrollo de un caso clínico de un canino raza Labrador, edad 4 años, hembra, sin procedimientos quirúrgicos previos, la cual venia presentando aumento del perímetro abdominal, por la presencia de líquidos (ascitis), con 6 semanas de evolución. Como método complementario al examen clínico, por medio de ecografía, se observa el hígado aumentado de tamaño (hepatomegalia), y el corazón con crecimiento generalizado de las cámaras derechas (aurícula y ventrículo respectivamente). En el hemograma y perfil hepático realizado en laboratorio, los resultados que se obtuvieron tanto línea roja y línea blanca no se encontraron dentro de los valores de referencia, además el perfil hepático un levemente aumentados. El tratamiento instaurado a la paciente con el cual se inició se realizó con Enalapril a dosis de 17.5 mg cada 12 horas, Digoxina 0.23 mg cada 12 horas, Furosemida a dosis de 80 mg cada 12 horas, hidroclorotiazida a dosis de 70 mg cada 12 horas. Durante el manejo de la enfermedad, se evidencia el avanzado deterioro de salud y bienestar de la paciente, como consecuencia se recurre a la eutanasia, para conocer por medio de estudio histopatológico de las lesiones en los órganos afectados por dicha patología"
