Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

The purpose of this study was to (1) describe the growth of blue mussels (Mytilus edulis) in an intensively cultured embayment, (2) document the temporal and spatial variations in the composition of suspended particulate matter, and (3) assess the temporal and spatial variations in food quantity and quality associated with variations in mussel growth. The study relates seston depletion and resulting mussel growth in a commercial culture setting at a bay-level scale. Caged mussels (age 1 cohorts) were maintained at 5 experimental sites in Tracadie Bay (Prince Edward Island, Canada), during May through October 1998 and 1999, to monitor seasonal growth (shell length and meat weight). Water samples for analyses of seston parameters (as indicators of food quantity and nutritional quality) were collected concurrent with mussel sampling. Coefficients of individual second-order polynomial regressions were used to document seasonal, annual and spatial variations in mussel growth. (Abstract shortened by UMI.).

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
