[Excerto] Introdução Apesar da evolução conhecida na historiografia da Misericórdias nas últimas décadas, a sexta obra da misericórdia corporal não tem acompanhado a evolução registada nas restantes, nem mesmo a tendência europeia, sobretudo a historiografia espanhola e francesa, que têm dado destaque ao auxílio prestado aos peregrinos que se dirigiam ou vinham de Santiago de Compostela.
