La pandemia COVID-19 è considerata un evento traumatico collettivo. Diversi studi hanno evidenziato alti livelli di sintomi di disturbo post-traumatico da stress (PTSD) nella popolazione generale durante la pande-mia. Scopo di questa ricerca è contribuire a un'integrazione della letteratura che esplora l'associazione tra eventi infantili avversi, alessitimia e stili di attaccamento insicuri come fattori pre-trauma che rendono gli individui più vulnerabili ed esplorare il possibile effetto predittivo di queste dimensioni sul PTSD da COVID-19. Tra ottobre 2021 e marzo 2022 sono stati somministrati a 224 parteci-panti di età compresa tra i 18 e i 65 anni e residenti in Italia il questionario COVID-19-PTSD, la Toronto Alexithymia Scale, l'Adverse Childhood Ex-periences Questionnaire e l'Experiences in Close Relationships-Revised Form.Dall'analisi delle correlazioni sono emerse associazioni significative tra l'alessitimia, le dimensioni dell'attaccamento e i sintomi del PTSD da CO-VID-19 e all'età. Sono stati eseguiti due modelli di regressione lineare mul-tipla utilizzando i punteggi totali del COVID-19-PTSD come variabile di-pendente. Nel primo sono state considerate come variabili indipendenti l'e-tà, il genere, le dimensioni dell'attaccamento, gli ACE e l’alessitimia. Han-no mostrato un effetto significativo: il punteggio totale dell'alessitimia, la dimensione dell'ansia, la dimensione dell'evitamento e l'età. Nel secondo modello sono stati aggiunti i punteggi dei fattori TAS-20 come variabili in-dipendenti, hanno mostrato un effetto significativo: dimensione dell'ansia, TAS-20 DIF.Il Covid-19 ha colto l'umanità impreparata, ma ha mostrato che nel mondo globalizzato in cui viviamo, la possibilità di un trauma coll ettivo è sempre più reale. Ci auguriamo che i fattori di rischio legati ai sintomi del PTSD vengano ulteriormente approfonditi per poter implementare, in futu-ro, modelli di prevenzione efficaci per i traumi collettivi.
