Abstract
Maģistra darba “Sociālo tīklu nozīme profesionālu sportistu karjeras attīstībā” mērķis ir pētīt sociālo tīklu nozīmību profesionālu sportistu dzīvē - kā cilvēki, kuri ir sportistam apkārt un darbojas sportista dzīvē, ir saistīti ar viņa/viņas profesionālās karjeras attīstību (to, ka sportists izvēlas attiecīgo karjeru un tās turpināšanu, kā arī gūst tajā panākumus). Darba teorētiskā bāze apskata Alberta Banduras sociālās mācīšanās teoriju, aģentu tīkla teoriju, kā arī sociālā kapitāla teoriju. Darbā izmantotā datu ieguves metode bija 6 daļēji strukturētās padziļinātās intervijas ar profesionāliem sportistiem un tika veikta interviju kontentanalīze, lai sasniegtu darba mērķus un atbildētu uz pētnieciskajiem jautājumiem. Pētījuma galvenie secinājumi ir, ka īpaši svarīgs sportistiem ir bijis morālais un materiālais atbalsts no sociālajiem tīkliem. Lielākā daļa sportistu intervijās īpaši izcēla abus šos atbalsta veidus, mēģinot raksturot dažādu sociālo tīklu ietekmi uz savas sporta karjeras attīstību kopumā.
