El trabajo expone información relevante sobre las tipologías textuales y las propiedades de la textualidad. Posteriormente, analiza el tratamiento de los tipos de texto y los géneros discursivos en los libros de texto de cuatro editoriales (Sm, Edelvives, Santillana y Anaya) para 4º curso de Educación Primaria que son analizados con los criterios establecidos en el Real Decreto 40/2007, de 3 de mayo, por el que se establece el Currículo de la Educación Primaria en la Comunidad de Castilla y León (BOCYL, n.º 89, 9 de mayo de 2007). Además, el trabajo propone actividades para la mejora de la competencia textual de los alumnos.
