Cílem této bakalářské práce je vytvořit přehled letadel využívaných ve světě pro hašení a s ohledem na charakter České republiky vybrat vhodný typ letadla pro hašení lesních požárů na našem území. Práce zahrnuje srovnání efektivity nasazení letounů a vrtulníků, přehled počtu lesních požárů a počtu nasazení letecké techniky při hašení požárů v České republice a požadavky na pilotní kvalifikace potřebné k vykonávání leteckého hašení.
