Abstract
Storia e ordinamento politico La storia costituzionale del Canada si può far risalire al 1º luglio 1867 con l'emanazione, da parte del Parlamento di Westminster del British North America Act (BNA N.1).Attraverso tale atto, la Madre Patria britannica dà vita al Dominion del Canada, unificando le allora quattro province: Upper Canada, Lower Canada, Nuova Scozia e Nuovo Brunswick.Tutto questo fu il frutto della necessità di sviluppare una maggiore solidità economica e dar vita ad una più stretta unione; esigenza avvertita in modo marcato durante le crisi economiche ed il periodo storico in cui gli Stati Uniti erano dilaniati dalla guerra civile.Nel 1864 a Charlottetown ebbe luogo un incontro tra i delegati delle province canadesi il cui fine ultimo era la redazione di un progetto di unificazione.Tale progetto fu approvato nella Conferenza del Québec nell'ottobre dello stesso anno: venne poi trasmesso al Parlamento Britannico che lo concesse nel 1867.Con tale atto nacque definitivamente il Dominion canadese "with a Constitution similar in www.contabilita-pubblica.it
