Abstract
The "Britamoco" was built in Great Britain by the Furness Shipbuilding Company in 1932. She was owned by the British-American Oil Company of Halifax, Nova Scotia until 1946. She was then owned by the Gayport Shipping Company of Toronto, Canada. When purchased by the Hall Corporation in 1959, her name changed to "Gulf Transport." From 1970 to 1974, when she was scrapped, she was owned by several Italian companies. During those years, she was known as the "Nonna Valeria."
