Abstract
[Einleitung] Das Sozio-oekonomische Panel (SOEP) ist eine längsschnittliche Befragung von Personen in Haushalten in Deutschland, die bereits seit über drei Jahrzehnten läuft. Im Auftrag des DIW Berlin werden zurzeit jedes Jahr in Deutschland etwa 30.000 Befragte in fast 11.000 Haushalten befragt. Die Daten geben unter anderem Auskunft zu Fragen über Einkommen, Erwerbstätigkeit, Persönlichkeit, Bildung oder Gesundheit. Weil jedes Jahr dieselben Personen befragt werden, können langfristige soziale und gesellschaftliche Trends besonders gut verfolgt werden. In Kooperation mit dem Bundesinstitut für Bau-, Stadt- und Raumforschung (BBSR) wurde die Datengrundlage zu Haushalten in Gebieten des Städtebauförderprogramms "Soziale Stadt" im Sozio-oekonomischen Panel (SOEP) erweitert. Durch die Verschneidung georeferenzierter Fördergebietskulissen der Sozialen Stadt mit den georeferenzierten Wohnorten der Befragungshaushalte des Sozio-oekonomischen Panels (SOEP) und der Erhebung des zusätzlichen Samples "Soziale Stadt" werden die Befragungsdaten des SOEP genutzt, um Hintergrundinformationen zur Sozialstruktur und zu den Lebenslagen der Bewohnerinnen und Bewohner der Gebiete der Sozialen Stadt zu erlangen.
