Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

 A business plan for launching of the company Boon Iceland. What makes Boon Iceland different from other business on the Icelandic market are its colourful products that are specially designed for children and their parents. The target group consists of children from birth to 8 years of age, and their parents. Boon Iceland has possibilities of expanding its business by increasing the supply of imported products from the company Boon Inc., along with other brand names as needed. The starting cost of Boon Iceland is estimated 6 million ISK. According to operating plans the company will make a profit of 886.218ISK in its first year of business, in its second year the profit is estimated 1.955.147ISK and in the third year 4.379.984ISK. Variable cost is estimated 6 % of the income for the first three years. It is safe to assume that variable cost will increase as the business expands. The salaries of the company´s employees are included in the variable cost estimates. Regular (fixed) cost is estimated as 5.654.790ISK in the first year of business, on the second and third year the estimate is 7.539.720ISK each year. The management salary, rent, electricity, heating, telephone cost, advertising, insurance and maintenance are included in the regular (fixed) cost. It is estimated that balance will be reached in the third quarter of 2012, in November to be exact. At that point, total income will exceed total cost. It is estimated that the profit of equity (equity profit) will be 12.6 % in the first year, 14.4 % in the second year and 14.5 % in the third year. This implies the profit the company´s owners can assume in relation to the company´s reserves. The main results are that Boon Iceland is both practical and profitable.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
