Abstract
RESUMO: O plantio direto resulta em impactos positivos na conservação da água no solo. Considerando essa premissa, este trabalho teve o objetivo de avaliar as principais alterações nas propriedades físico-hídricas de solos de Cerrado, decorrentes do uso do plantio direto durante 3, 6 e 12 anos, sob condições de sequeiro e irrigado, em comparação com o plantio convencional e um ambiente de mata natural, na fezenda Ampessan, Cabeceiras, GO. As características físico-hídricas do solo foram avaliadas nas seguintes camadas: 0 a 5 cm; 2,5 a 7,5 cm; 5 a 10 cm; 10 a 15 cm; 20 a 25 cm; 42,5 a 47, 5 cm e 72,5 a 77,5 cm. As características de infiltração nesses ambientes foram avaliadas nas profundidades de 12 a 80 cm, utilizando o método do permeâmetro de Guelph para a determinação da condutividade hidráulica saturada de campo. Verificou-se que a maior intensidade de mecanização no ambiente irrigado produz decréscimo acentuado na condutividade hidráulica saturada de campo nas camadas mais superficiais do solo. Além disso, os resultados demonstram existir tendência de maior disponibilidade de água nos solos cultivados em relação ao ambiente de mata natural até a profundidade de 22,5 cm. ABSTRACT: The no till system results in positive impacts for the soil and water conservation. Considering this assertive, this work had the objective to evaluate the main modifications on the soil phyysical properties caused by no till, carried during 3, 6 and 12 years under rainfed conditions. It was also considered a case of direct drilling for five years under irrigated condition, a conventional tillage system, and a soil condition under natural Biome Cerrado. The experiments were located in the Ampessan farm, Cabeceiras, GO. The soil physical characteristics were evaluated by samples taken from the following layers: 0 a 5 cm; 2,5 - 7,5 cm; 5 - 10 cm; 10 - 15 cm; 20 - 25 cm; 42,5 - 47, 5 cm e 72,5 - 77,5 cm. The infiltration characteristics were evaluated at 12 and 80 cm soil depth, using the Guelph permeameter to determine the field saturated hydraulic conductivity. The results showed that the intense soil mechanization on irrigation condition favored a significant decrease in the field saturated hydraulic conductivity in the layers near to the soil surface. There was a tendency for larger water availability in the cultivated soils, in relation to the under natural soil environment, up to 22,5 cm soil depth.
