Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Rural and urban development patterns in southern Ontario have directly reduced the presence of wetlands. The Healthy Wetlands for the Upper Grand (HWUG) project outlined key criteria for identifying optimal wetland site locations. Marginal farmlands tend to occupy primarily saturated soils which are marginal for farming and development yet optimal for wetland locations. Municipal surface drains are identified as features in the landscape conducive for wetland restoration sites. Examining the HWUG criteria used in Dufferin County as well as criteria presented in the literature, developed a low, medium, and high range of criteria in which highly suitable small-scale wetland restoration sites in the County of Wellington are presented. Outcomes are further developed using habitat requirements of 'Aix sponsa' that require both wetland and woodland habitat. This coarse-scale research informs landscape architects in applying a criteria model analysis using a case study method towards locating optimal conditions using GIS technology.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
